The Bastu Sauna Hat is LUUN's flagship sauna hat — a three-layer, hand-crafted alternative to the traditional felt sauna cap, engineered to insulate the head during high-temperature sauna sessions while staying noticeably lighter and more breathable than felt.
Where traditional felt sauna hats trap heat and moisture against the scalp, the Bastu's three-layer construction creates two insulating air pockets that block radiant heat while allowing sweat vapor to escape — so the head stays close to a normal temperature even as the sauna reaches 80–100°C. The result is longer, more comfortable sessions without the heavy, damp feel of a wet felt hat.
Each Bastu is hand-sewn in southern Sweden to exacting specifications, with reinforced stitched edges that hold their shape over years of regular use. At only 36 grams it's appreciably lighter than other hats.
The Bastu ships in a signed wooden presentation box with a certificate of authenticity — making it both a daily-use sauna accessory and a considered gift for sauna enthusiasts.
